| Designing Without Feedback |
|
Every one of us know the importance of customers'/client's feedback but what can a business do when incorporating changes becomes a must but it has no customer feed back? How can the business know its area of improvisation when no body would tell? I have seen many sites that don't have any feedback form for the users or customers.
Every one of us know the importance of customers'/client's feedback but what can a business do when incorporating changes becomes a must but it has no customer feed back? How can the business know its area of improvisation when no body would tell? I have seen many sites that don't have any feedback form for the users or customers. Every body talks about the importance of customer feedback but still not every website contains the form or space for it. Visitors are important for any website so whenever any website is made they are always kept in mind. Sometimes designers while designing a website modify their imagination, due to customers' feedback, so much that the final result comes out totally different from their imagination. Social networking sites are considered to be the most frequently upgrading web sites. Sites under this category such as Orkut, Twitter, Facebook etc. undergo changes very frequently. As I am a very frequent user of Orkut I have seen many changes in it in the past 2 years. These kind of changes increase users involvement with the site, which is the sole aim of every website. The web design of these sites and site like Google have shown that limits of web designing have been pushed far enough and new standards are being established. Ok, now answering to the question I had stated in the first paragraph. Whenever you are designing your website , stop thinking like a web designer for the first hour. Cast yourself as a visitor and ask to yourself, 'What are the features you would have loved to look at'? A true answer to this question from within will give you a new idea and will show you a new direction and after following it you will come up with your best design. |
