One of the biggest factors of designing a website is that it needs to be appealing and simple. Many companies do more harm than good by trying to make a flashing and fancy site when their audience really just wants something simple. It is proven sales are much better when a site is not too flashy and simple. Some colors may be difficult to read the content on the page or even hurt the shopper's eyes. Keep it simple and make your site appealing.
