Squidoo - What is Squidoo? Besides Free

Squidoo is a website where you can go build web pages for free. Technically it is only pages not a whole site. There are no button links to go from page to page like websites have. You could build a network of pages and have them link together by text links within your content.

Squidoo is great for marketers and non - marketers alike. If you are not an internet or affiliate marketer and want a few pages up to display your vacation photos and talk about what a great time you had then Squidoo is good for you because you don't have to buy web space and a domain name. You are not stuck with it if you don't want it anymore. With Squidoo you just delete that page and start a new one. Squidoo doesn't care one way or another. They do care about your content though. You have to rate it so they know how to show it. Can't have the kiddies looking adult content now can we!

If you want text links and images on your pages you will have to use a little HTML. Not a big deal, there is a page that explains the HTML code and how to implement it on your page. I basically copy and paste the code where I want it on the page and insert the link to the page or image I am linking to into the HTML code and there you have it, a text link or image! I use a free online photo hosting site to host all my images so it is just a matter of linking to them and now they arent taking up valuable space on my system or getting lost or deleted. They are there at Photo Bucket as long as photo bucket exists!

If you are into the marketing end of things then Squidoo is great for you too. Squidoo enjoys a high Google page rank in it's own right so when you publish your page or LENS in Squidoo speak you are starting out with that extra boost!
